1: Everybody's Trucking (15 Nov 74)

The Army are planning to hold an exercise near Walmington-On-Sea and Mainwaring's men are given the job of signposting the area. On the way home in Jones' van after completing their task, the platoon find the road blocked by a steam engine. It seems that the driver has gone off to get some more coal. Trying to drive around the obstacle, Jones gets his van stuck in the mud. The road is blocked further when Hodges' van, a mototcycle with sidecar and a coach full of pensioners also get stuck. The platoon have to set up a diversion.

2: A Man Of Action (22 Nov 74)

Jones and Pike are out on patrol. When they pass an iron bar gate, Pike tells Jones how he nearly got stuck in a similar gate when he was a child. While he's demonstrating what happened, Pike gets his head stuck between the bars of the gate. Jones telephones for help and Mainwaring and some of his men arrive. They take the gate off its hinges and march Pike back to the church hall, his head still stuck fast. Mainwaring goes on to an emergency meeting, where he learns that a landmine has resulted in gas, electricity and telephone being cut off in Walmingto. Mainwaring decides to declare martial law.

3: Gorilla Warfare (29 Nov 74)

The platoon are taking part in a weekend exercise. They are told to act as commandos, working behind enemy lines, who have to reach a rendezvous point to pick up a secret agent, played by Mainwaring. Meanwhile, troops from GHQ will try to capture the secret agent. En route to their secret destination, the platoon have problems with an escaped gorilla.

4: The Godiva Affair (6 Dec 74)

A parade is planned to raise money for the town's Spitfire Fund. Mainwaring and his men are taking part as morris dancers. Jones thinks that Mrs Fox is getting too friendly with the Town Clerk, so he asks Mainwaring to speak to her on his behalf. Mainwaring arranges to meet her at the Marigold Tea Rooms. He tells her how Jones feels about her, but she misunderstands and thinks he's talking about his own feelings. In the church hall, the committee organising the Spitfire Fund Parade select Mrs Fox to lead the procession as Lady Godiva. On the day of the parade, however, it's Mainwaring's wife who appears as Lady Godiva.

5: The Captain's Car (13 Dec 74)

The platoon are selected to provide a guard of honour for a visiting French general. When Lady Maltby donates her Rolls Royce to the war effort, Mainwaring decides that it would make an ideal staff car. Pike and Wilson are given the job of taking the car to be camouflaged. The car breaks down and they ask Jones to help to move it. Jones tows away the Mayor's Rolls Royce by mistake and Fraser paints it with camouflage paint. When he discovers the mistake, Fraser paints it black again but the paint is still wet when the Mayor uses his car to collect the French general.

6: Turkey Dinner (23 Dec 74)

Jones accidentally shoots a turkey and the owner can't be traced. The platoon decide to use it to give the local pensioners a turkey dinner. Mainwaring turns up to help dressed up for a later engagement. Pike spills gravy all over Mainwaring's dinner jacket and Jones tries to repair the damage with white paint.
