George has resigned from his job as a traffic warden. He can't bring himself to tell Mildred.

Mildred goes off to a pottery class, leaving George to look after the Fourmiles' new baby. Then he gets a phone call offering him a place in the pub darts team.

Mildred wants her dog to have puppies. George sees it as a chance to make some money.
