It's the Ropers' wedding anniversary and George buys Mildred an expensive-looking fur coat. Mildred wonders where George got the money from. When she discovers that he's found someone's credit card, she fears the worst.

2: In Sickness And In Health (30 Oct 79)

When Mildred goes into hospital, George's friend Jerry moves in. So does his "niece".

3: The Last Straw (6 Nov 79)

Mildred is unhappy at her lack of social success in suburbia. Perhaps emigrating to Australia would be a good idea? Jeffrey Fourmile certainly thinks so!

4: A Driving Ambition (13 Nov 79)

George gets jealous when Mildred is seen out and about with another man. Mildred decides against telling him that it's her driving instructor.

5: A Military Pickle (27 Nov 79)

George becomes a 'wanted' man when it looks as if he's an Army deserter.

6: Fishy Business (4 Dec 79)

George lets his goldfish Moby have a swim in the sink and it's 'Goodbye Moby'.

7: I Gotta Horse (18 Dec 79)

Mildred comes across a photograph of an expensive antique in a magazine. It's a Chinese statue of a horse and she's got one just like it.

8: The Twenty Six Year Itch (25 Dec 79)

Mildred wants to go to the Young Conservatives Christmas Ball, but George has other plans.
