Summary
Rene Artois (Gordon Kaye) just wants enough peace and quiet to run his cafe and "'ave it off" with his waitresses without his wife Edith (Carmen Silvera) catching him out.
Unfortunately, there's a small matter of a war to contend with.
The Resistance want him to help them to repatriate escaped British airmen, while Rene wants to avoid being shot by the Germans.
This long-running sitcom by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft began as a spoof version of the BBC drama series, Secret Army, which was broadcast from 1977 to 1979.
Episodes were orinally broadcast without "on-screen" epidode titles. The titles used in my episode list and guide for series 1-5 inclusive are taken from official BBC DVD releases. The titles currently used for series 6 onwards are "unofficial" ones.
