Lynford Hall, Norfolk, was the main location for filming 'Allo 'Allo.

The Hall was built between 1857 and 1862 and was modelled on a French chateau. This made it an ideal setting for a sitcom set in wartime France.

A cobbled courtyard at the back of the hall was used as the setting for Nouvion town square, with quot;Cafe Renequot; in one cormer.

The front of the Hall was used to represent the chateau where the Germans had set up their headquarters.

Lynford Hall was also used as a location for some episodes of Dad's Army and You Rang, M'Lord?
