Summary

Jim Hacker (Paul Eddington) is as surprised as anyone when he suddenly finds himself elevated to the post of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

In his new role, he still has the able assistance of Bernard Wooley (Derek Fowlds) and he still has to contend with the machinations of Sir Humphrey Appleby (Nigel Hawthorne).
