Summary
Rising is a picture-postcard English village with a very mixed group of inhabitants.
Ronald Kegworthy (Anton Rogers) is a retired "City gent" who lives in the village with his elegant wife, Sally (Nicola Pagett).
Terry Gaines (Kevin McNally) and his wife Maxine (Michelle Collins) have plenty of money but little or no taste.
Justin Winterman (Dominic Mathem) and his partner Ariadne (Camilla Power) are looking for an "alternative"lifestyle.
Other characters include handyman Martin Marr (Richard Coyle), barrister Harriet Revell (Georgia MacKenzie) and drunken farmer Mr Morrissey (Trevor Cooper).
