Summary
Alf Garnett (Warren Mitchell) has opinions about practically everything under
the sun and he's not afraid to let everyone know about them.
His long-suffering wife Else (Dandy Nicholls) turns a deaf ear to most of Alf's
rantings, except for the odd riposte of "rotten pig" when he gets
too personal.
Alf's daughter Rita (Una Stubbs) and her layabout husband Mike (Tony Booth)
live with the Garnetts. Mike, the original "randy scouse git" provides
a handy target for many of Alf's ravings.
Two feature film spinoffs were made - Till Death Us Do Part
(1969) and The Alf Garnett Saga (1972).The programme was later
remade for the US market as All In The Family.
