Summary

Jeremy Brown (Barry Evans) takes a job in a night school teaching English to a motley crew of assorted foreigners. He also has to contend with the formidable night school Principal, Miss Courtney (Zara Nutley).

Only Granada Television transmitted the final 13 episodes consecutively as a complete series. Some ITV companies didn't show any of the episodes made in 1986.

The programme was later remade for US television as What A Country!.
