Summary
A wheelbarrow full of rubble falls off some scaffolding and lands on the head of Godfrey Spry (Richard Briers). As a result, Godfrey has an attention span of only 30 seconds.
He likes watching TV advertisements, because they're short enough for him to follow all the way through. He seems to accept all of the claims made by the advertisers as gospel.
His behaviour is often bizarre and erratic, causing many problems for his relatives, particularly for Gordon (Adrian Edmondson) and Muriel (Imelda Staunton).
