Summary

Commander Fairweather (Frank Thornton) is in charge of a naval base, Boonsey Island, just off the coast of Devon.

It's a very "cushy" posting, with little for the staff to do but dream up new ways of making easy money.

Among the staff are Chief Petty Officer Banyard (Ronald Radd), Lieutenant Pouter (Robin Hunter), Captain Turvey (Richard Caldicott) and Wren typist Amanda (Priscilla Morgan).
