Summary
Dickie (Dickie Henderson) is a film, stage and TV performer who is married to June (June Laverick). The couple have a youg son, John/Richard (initially played by John Parsons and later, with a different character name, by Danny Grover).
Dickie's manager, Jack (Lionel Murton), seems to spend most of his time visiting Dickie's home and is frequently involved in the various domestic problems and misunderstandings which were involved in most storylines.
A succession of guest stars appeared as themselves.
In the final series, Dickie has a new wife - the much younger Jane (Isla Blair).
