Summary

When he was a boy, Arthur Dumpton (James Grout) used to spend his holidays in the coastal town of Cocklesea. Many years later, he returns to the town with a plan to use his redundancy money to restore some of the resort's faded glory.

He seeks out his old friend Jacques du Bois (Norman Rodway) and his wife Gloria (Joan Simms) and tries to enlist their help. Unfortunately, they take advantage and try to fleece him of his money.
