Summary

Tom Chance (Simon Callow) is a walking disaster area. Everywhere he goes, he leaves chaos in his wake. If an accident is even remotely possible, it will happen to him.

When Tom meets shy librarian Alison Little (Brenda Blethyn), she quickly becomes involved in his daily disasters. The two become engaged and, in the final episode, are married.
