Summary
Part-time taxi driver Barry (Neil Morrissey) lives with his second wife,
Carrie (Claire Rushbrook). He has a grown-up daughter, Sinead (Sarah Quintrell),
from his disatrous first marriage.
Barry shares his taxi cab with his best friend Kirk (Mark Williams), who does the night shift.
Carrie works as a beautician, along with her sharp-tongued friend
Michelle (Michelle Gomez).
In the second series, Barry is banned from driving for a year, while Sinead becomes involved with Barry's new tenant, Adrian (Matthew Horne). Her father strongly disapproves of the relationship. In spie of this, Sinead and Adrian plan to marry.
