Summary
Charlotte (Elizabeth Carling) is the lead singer with a rock group, "True North".
She decides to leave the band and return home to a small town on the border between Lancashire and Cheshire, where she buys a cafe for her long-time boyfriend David (Sean Gallagher). Then David makes the mistake of making his older brother Kidder (Anthony Strachan) head chef at the cafe.
Ronnie (Georgia McKenzie) was making a good living as "Charlotte" in a "tribute band" until the real Charlotte left "True North". She pays a visit to the Border Cafe, planning revenge, but ends up being offered a job.
Although the programme is set on the Lancashire-Cheshire border, the location filming was actually done in Wales.
