Summary

Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie first worked together when they were students at Cambridge University. After graduating, they appeared as part of the cast of the review programme Alfresco, transmitted in 1983-84.

Fry and Laurie starred in a "Christmas special" at the end of 1986. This resulted in the first series of A Bit Of Fry And Laurie just over two years later.

The programme was a mixture of revue-type sketches and musical parodies.
