Summary
Shirley Bloom (Philippa Howard), Jenny Dabb (Teresa Stevens) and Daphne Finch-Beauchamp (Marylin Galsworthy) join the Women's Land Army in 1940 and go to work on a Norfolk Farm.
The women are now doing the farm labouring work which was formerly done by men who have gone off to fight in the war.
The second series sees the departure of Daphne and the arrival of her replacement, actress Bunny Burroughs (Pippa Page).
This was one of the very few sitcoms produced by Anglia Television.
In some ITV regions, the first two series were shown in a single run rather than separately.
