Summary
A series of six unrelated sitcoms starring Arthur Askey.
At the start of each programme, Anthea Askey (Arthur's daughter) took a book down from a bookshelf and "set the scene" for a "dramatisation" of the book, starring Artur Askey, Sam Kydd and Arthur Mullard.
The programme also featured a number of guest stars, such as Geoffrey Palmer, June Whitfield and Wilfrid Brambell.
All recordings of this programme are thought to have been "wiped" during the 1960's.
