Summary
A mixture of sketches and "sit down" comedy from Dave Allen.
Each programme opened with Dave Allen sitting in a chair with a drink close at hand, delivering a monologue which set the "theme" for most of the sketches that followed.
The best of his sketches were often irreverent skits involving prominent figures in the Catholic church. The main 'target' of these sketches was usually some form of "overblown" ritual or other.
