Summary

Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan) used to be an "ace" sports reporter and chat show host on BBC Television.

After being sacked from the BBC, he was forced to accept work at a small radio station in East Anglia.

He now presents an early morning programme, "Up With The Partridge".

In spite of the fact that his career has obviously declined considerably, he tries to maintain the illusion that he's still a "major media star".
