Summary

A J Wentworth (Arthur Lowe) is the mathematics master at Burgrove, a minor boys' preparatory school in rural England during the 1940s.

Although liked by the boys he teaches, he has problems maintaining discipline and his pupils tend to take advantage of him.

This was the last sitcom Arthur Lowe appeared in. It was first transmitted several months after his death.
