Hannah is planning a surprise birthday party for Faith. She doesn't want her mother to know about it. On a wild and stormy night, Faith does indeed get a surprise, but it isn't the one which Hannah had intended.
2: Share Options (16 Jan 98)
Now that her flat has a tree as part of the fixtures and fittings, Faith decides to go and stay with Paul. She finds that it isn't a completely pleasant experience. When she returns home, she meets an attractive builder who's come to fix her damaged roof.
3: Hearts And Flowers (23 Jan 98)
Hannah wakes up to find herself in bed with Jools. Neither of them can remember what happened the previous night.
4: Goodbye To Love (6 Feb 98)
Hannah decides to give up sex and alcohol. She persuades her mother to join her in self denial. Faith finds it difficult with so much temptation around.
5: Always On My Mind (13 Feb 98)
Faith has begun to get involved with Mark, the builder. Hannah doesn't approve. Jools is unhappy about Hannah's new relationship with her tutor, Harry.
6: Prodigal Mother (20 Feb 98)
Faith had a child before she met Hannah's father. Her daughter Zoe was fostered when she was a baby. Now Zoe has decided that she wants to see her natural mother. Her visit soon puts Hannah's nose out of joint.
7: Stand By Me (27 Feb 98)
Mark wants Faith to go away with him for the weekend, but Faith is planning a special family dinner. Paul remarries his ex-wife. Hannah discovers that Harry is involved with other women. Zoe leaves suddenly. Hannah decides to go off on holiday with Jools. Faith decides against any further involvement with Mark.
