Geoffrey Broom (Tim Barrett) is a newly-elected Labour MP, while Willie Gordon (Robert Coote) is a long-established Comservative MP.
The programme was interrupted after the first episode was transmitted. Remaining episodes were 'held back' because of a technicians' strike. Four further episodes were shown nearly a year later, while two further scripts were never used.
