Alex Taylor (Stephen Mangan) is in the middle of a messy divorce.
He works for a successful talent agency run by Stephen Caudwell (Anthony Head).
Alex becomes involved with Helen Ryan (Sharon Horgan), one of his colleagues at the agency. She is trying to recover from the death of her boyfriend a few months before they were planning to get married.
