He manages a motley crew of accounts staff, including Rex (Ken Jones), Susan (Patsy Rowlands), Harry (Alan David) and Carol (Karin McCarthy).
Eric Chappell later revamped the programme (recycling many of the script ideas) when he created Fiddlers Three for Yorkshire Television in 1991.
