Summary
Ashley Parkenwell (James Fleet) has spent most of his adult life under the thumb of his domineering mother. After she dies, Ashley suddenly finds himself free to enjoy life.
He has a long-term girlfriend named Gillian (Rebecca Raybone) but he isn't sure that he wants to continue their relationship.
Ashley's sister-in-law Colette (Jan Francis) and his housekeeper Mrs Rudge (Brigit Forsyth) provide plenty of help and advice in his quest for a new romance.
