Summary
Nesbitt Gunn (James Bolam) is a has-been drama producer working for Megla
Television. When the station's owner, Kevin Hughes (Keith Barron) decides it's
time for a 'shake up' of production staff, Nesbitt finds himself 'banished' to
Light Entertainment, down in the basement.
This programme was a 'sequel' to a 4-episode sitcom of the same name from
ABC Television in 1964. The 'original' was written by John Antrobus and starred
Lionel Jeffreys and Dick Emery.
The same title (but different subject matter) was used for a Comedy
Playhouse programme in 1966 and then for a subsequent series in 1967.
