Summary
Brian Potter (Peter Kay) is the manager of a Bolton Social Club called The Pheonix Club.
Brian is rather accident-prone. The first club he managed was flooded out, while a later club burned down.
The Pheonix is staffed by a motley crew of incompetents, including resident compere Jerry St Clair (Dave Spikey), club DJ (and dangerously incompetent electrician) Ray (Neil Fitzmaurice), bar/cleaning staff Holy Mary (Janice Connolly) and Marion (Beatrice Kelly) and a pair of next-to-useless doormen, Max (Peter Kay) and Paddy (Patrick McGuinness).
The first series was called Peter Kay's Pheonix Nights.
