Summary

Michael 'Rosie' Penrose (Paul Greenwood) is a probationary police constable stationed in the small Yorkshire town of Slagcaster.

Sergeant Flagg (Bryan Pringle) has the job of turning the naive young Rosie into a competent policeman.

Other regular characters include PC Buttress (David Pinner), PC Toombs (Alan Foss), WPC Dean (Catherine Chase) and Inspector Fox (Christopher Burgess).
