1: In Luton Airport, No-One Can Hear You Scream (4 Oct 90)

Victor and Maragret arrive back from holiday to find Mrs Warboys waiting for them with bad news. She tells them that their house has been demolished after a fire. Eventually, they move into a new home and decide to hold a house-warming party. The evening of the party arrives, but what's happened to all of the guests?


2: We Have Put Her Living In The Tomb (11 Oct 90)

Victor and Margaret are busy decorating their new house. They also have to look after a tortoise for Margaret's god-daughter. When Victor decides to do a spot of gardening, it's bad news for the tortoise. A replacement tortoise fares no better.


3: Dramatic Fever (18 Oct 90)

Margaret has joined the local Amateur Dramatic Society. Meanwhile, Victor is writing a script for a comedy programme. He thinks it's hilarious, but will anyone else find it funny?


4: Who Will Buy? (25 Oct 90)

Victor manages to resist the sales pitch of the bendy dinosaur salesman. He decides to try his hand at ventriloquism and agrees to appear in a charity concert. An old blind man is murdered and Pippa becomes convinced that Victor is the killer.


5: Love And Death (1 Nov 90)

Victor and Margaret are spending a weekend at Vince and April's seaside guest house. Vince gives Victor a very unusual present. Victor tries to deal with an outbreak of midgets in the bathroom and a glass of beer goes straight to his head. After a night on the town, he wakes up in a strange bed. Has April taken advantage of him? And has Vince been up to no good with Margaret?


6: Timeless Time (8 Nov 90)

Victor is finding it difficult to sleep, which means that Margaret can't sleep either. There are problems with cramp, birds, cats and car alarms. Then Victor mistakes a dead hedgehog for one of his slippers.

It's almost Christmas and Victor is convinced that he's being watched. There's a mix-up at a mail-order company and Victor ends up receiving 263 garden gnomes.
