Summary
Basil Allenby-Johnson (Ronald Fraser) has been living on a rubber plantation in Malaya for many years. Now back in England, he finds the country changed out of all recognition.
Basil doesn't approve of most of the changes he comes across. He has to try, unsuccessfully, to come to terms with the permissive society, feminism, long haired youths and protest marches.
This was the first sitcom from Roy Clarke, later to become one of Britain's most prolific and successful sitcom writers.
