Summary
After the death of her husband, Ivy Unsworth (Thora Hird) takes over the running of the family undertaking business. She's helped and/or hindered by her nephew, Billy Henshaw (Christopher Beeny).
Billy is frequently led astray by his best friend, Ernie Hadfield (Colin Farrell).
At the beginning of the final series, Billy marries Mary Braithwaite (Sherrie Hewson).
The programme was filmed on location in Luddenden, Yorkshire.
The pilot for this programme was made for Thames Television in 1969. The first series didn't appear until nearly ten years later.
