Summary
Vince Pinner (Paul Nicholas) was supposed to marry Penny Warrender (Jan Francis) but he lost his nerve and failed to appear for the wedding.
Five years later, he meets Penny again. Almost without realising it, they drift into a new relationship.
During a further period of separation, Vince somehow manages to find himself in a disastrous marriage to someone else.
The programme reaches it's conclusion when, after several years of their 'on, off, on again' relationship, Penny and Vince are finally married.
