Jane Hall (Sarah Smart) is a shy young woman with a telent for saying the wrong thing in any given situation.
After a row with her parents, she moves to London and finds a job as a trainee bus driver.
While she's driving her bus, she finds herself involved with crashes, hijackers, gabgsters and escaped convicts.
Back in her new home, she becomes entangled in a 'love triangle' involving charming Richard (Daniel Lapaine) and quiet but sexy Robert (Stephen Mangan ).
During her adventures, her alter ego, 'Fantasy Jane', keeps popping up to comment on her situation or to act out fantasy solutions to her problems.
