Summary
Albert Collyer (John Mills) has reached retirement age and, against his wishes, has to leave the job he's been doing for 50 years.
He now has time to pursue outside interests but, apart from watching football and going down to the local pub, he's never had any hobbies.
His wife Ethel (Megs Jenkins) does her best to put up with his moans and grumbles, but she finds it difficult to cope with him being at home all day, getting under her feet.
