Summary

A long-running sketch show which stayed high in the ratings for over ten years.

Memorable characters included Hobo Haynes, a belligerent, opinionated tramp who invariably told whoever he was arguing with that he fought a war for them and spent most of the war years up to his neck in "muck and bullets".

The regular supporting cast included Nicholas Parsons, Dermot Kelly, Patricia Hayes, Rita Webb, Ken Morris and Joan Savage.

Musical interludes were provided by Pearl Carr & Teddy Johnson and Joe 'Mr Piano' Henderson.
