Summary
Danny Spencer (Paul Whitehouse) earns his living providing the voice of Dexter, an animated bear on television. The fact that the bear is far more famous than he is provides Danny with a constant source of irritation.
Now moving into his forties, Danny is beginning to experience the early stages of a "mid-life crisis". Then his young wife is knocked down and killed by an ice-cream van and, instead of feeling devastated, he feels suddenly liberated.
