Summary
One day in 1947, Roy Osborne (Matthew Cottle) is admitted to a TB sanatorium.
He thinks he'll only be there for a few weeks, then finds that it could be several years before he can leave.
He finds himself sharing a room with Brian Clapton (Eddie Marsan). The two have regular visits from Roy's mother (Anita Dobson) and from Brian's mother (Patsy Rowlands).
Another frequent visitor is Jilly Howell (Samantha Beckinsale), the widow of the man who used to be in the bed now occupied by Roy.
This programme was based on the meeting of Ray Galton and Alan Simpson in a TB sanitorium in 1947.
