Summary
Michael Upton (Barry Evans), Duncan Waring (Robin Nedwell), Paul Collier
(George Layton) and Dick Stuart-Clark (Geoffrey Davies) are medical
students at St Swithin's Hospital, London.
They're keen to do well, but their talent for attracting disaster makes them
a constant thorn in the side of Professor Geoffrey Loftus (Ernest Clark).
Based (very loosely) on the novel by Richard Gordon, Doctor In The
House was the first of a number of 'Doctor' series shown on ITV
between 1969 and 1977
Two series of an Australian 'spinoff', Doctor Down Under, featuring Robin
Nedwell and Geoffrey Davies, were made in 1979 and 1980.
Most of the main cast reprised their roles for the BBC sitcom Doctor On
Top in 1991.
