Summary
Charlie (Alfred Marks) is the fire chief in a small English village called Croppers End.
The men based at the fire station spend most of their time drinking, playing cards or sleeping.
Once in a while, the workshy crew have no alternative but to go off and fight a fire.
This programme showed marked similarities to Will Hay's 1941 film, Where's That Fire?.
