Summary
David Bliss (George Cole) is an awkward, bumbling young man with a tendency to find himself in awkward situations.
In the first series, the other main characters are David's girlfirend Zoe (Pat Grove), his sister Anne Fellows (Isobel Dean) and her husband Tony (Colin Gordon).
In the second series, David moves to the seaside town of Havenville to stay with Bob Batten (Hugh Sinclair) and his wife Pam (Frances Bennett).
The programme was based on a long-running BBC radio series.
