Summary

Father Neil Boyd (Daniel Abineri) becomes curate to Father Charles Duddleswell (Arthur Lowe), Parish Priest of St Jude.

The two men live in the London suburb of Fairwater, where they are looked after by housekeeper Mrs Pring (Gabrielle Daye).

Set in the early 1950s, the programme was based on a series of books by Peter da Rosa, originally published using the pseudonym 'Neil Boyd'.

The books were "Bless Me, Father", "Father In A Fix", "A Father Before Christmas" and "Father Under Fire".
