Summary

In many ways, this programme provided a 'rehearsal' for Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Graham Chapman and John Cleese began writing together, producing a string of unrelated sketches fairly similar in style to those in Monty Python. Eric Idle also appeared in some episodes.

The title of the programme came from a sarcastic remark by John Cleese about the amount of time it had taken to get the programme 'up and running'.

For some reason, this programme was was only shown in a few ITV regions in the UK. It was never nationally networked.
